Network Planning & Design

One of the most critical phases of any project is defining its boundaries and forecasting the many challenges that may arise during execution. MER's years of field experience and in-depth expertise mean that this stage is executed in the most productive way possible.

MER works closely with customers to accurately define objectives and outline expected performance criteria, taking into account such issues as:

• anticipated costs per site
• and the other essential factors involved in large-scale, multiple site networks

We carry out in-depth planning that includes comprehensive engineering for RF propagation analysis, model tuning and reviewing nominal plans.

To support acquisition activities, the company evaluates candidate cell site locations in the field, undertakes drive tests for site validation, and undertakes design of RF and antenna systems, as well as frequency and PN planning.

In addition, MER reviews all aspects of coverage, traffic and performance, as well as transport engineering for planning backhaul and interconnect requirements.

The company also executes line-of-site surveys and reports, link planning for microwave point-to-point, and traffic and capacity planning.
